Split A/c provision in the loft area?

I am planning the interiors for my apartment and since I don't have a full wall for wardrobe except the one which has the provision for Split A/C, my carpenter is suggesting us to go for a wardrobe and loft in the same wall with the Split A/C mounted on the loft door. Has anyone heard or seen anything like this?
