Why do my parents see a need for me to interact socially and have fun?? How can I convince them it is a waste?

you sound like me. you will probably do things to better human society as an adult. maybe progress it to a galactic empire, colonizing other worlds. most people (because we are a social primates) find pleasure in interacting with others.studies show that social interactions improve health and better peoples lives. sex is pleasurable and pleasure is good right? even for the most logical among us. tell your parents that if they want a great son that will lead humanity to greatness, they should stop meddling with his plans.
