Trying to choose a career,Electrician,Welder,Plum… Carpenter, which is the best choice now?

My boyfriend is looking for a career path. We have been trying to research salary diffrences and figure out what the job market looks like for Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrician and Welder. I am wondering for anyone who works in any of these areas what would be the best choice. We are going to be getting married and want a secure job that will enable him to care for a family. Any input or advice would be great! We live in the Tampa Bay area. But are thinking of relocating to Maryland in a few years.
