Question about the uncertainty principle? and nothingness.?
My understanding about the uncertainty principle is that it is derived from a thought experiment in which a particle is used to "see" another. Then, from the "normal" momentum uncertainty principle, a new one can be derived, the energy u.p, which can be thought of as an equation that dictates how much something can come out of nothing. it seems kind of weird to me that the idea that something coming from nothing is derived from observing waves. but why are there waves? it all seems a little bizarre to me. any thoughts would be appreciated.
